Hello Rose Garden!!
I have a $2.00 sale going on right now. You can get as many soap scraps that will fit into a $5.85 flat rate box for $2.00, plus still receive a free bar of soap with purchase. You can send your checks and money orders to:
The Chandler's Rose
131 Moore Lane
Gadsden, SC 29052
There are no limits on the number of $2.00 soap packages. These are soap scraps that I honestly don't feel like shredding, cutting or molding in order to put into other soap loaves.
Also, I am selling 21 8 ounce diffuser bottles, caps and diffuser reeds for $35.00. The shipping is included in the price.
Why all of the sales at cut rate prices, you may ask? Because I am moving in 2 months and need to lighten my load. This will be a great help to me as well as a great savings for you.
The Gadsden Community Project is one of my charities that I am supporting this year. For every bar of the Coffee Shoppe Line sold $1.50 will be donated to the charity. I grew up here in Gadsden and am happy to help in any way to get the township back to its former glory. Soaps are on sale at my website: www.thechandlersrose.weebly.com or in JD's Place on Bluff Road in Gadsden, just across the train tracks.
Scent Review:
Crystal Rain - This is a clean fragrance that is just bright. Most people don't realize that it is a mainly citrus blend because it isn't tart like most citrus scents. It behaves well in CP but the fragrance doesn't come through like it does in body butters. I love it because I produce it but when I post it on my B2B website I am going to recommend not using in CP soaping. That is all that I have for you tonight. Hopefully I can get my desktop up and running tomorrow and then I will upload pictures to my Facebook page: www.facebook.com/TheChandlersRose and here on my blog.
Thanks everyone and have a great night.

Contemplation
That is the name of my new fragrance blend. It has a cool yet heady fragrance. I am thinking of making it unisex but am not sure. Right now I am giving out free samples of the soap with all purchases and am going to wait on feedback. I used this blend with a vodka based soap. I made it in February and decided to day was the day to try it, and guess what? An extraordinary creamy lather!! I mean WOW!! Pictures won't be forthcoming due to cloudiness.
In fact, I need to make soap soon because I have 30, read 30!!, new blends to create and then use in CP soap to see how they will turn out. Motivation is sorely lacking right now.
Fragrance Review:
Dragon's Blood (BB) - Softly spicy with a powdery after scent. May be used by itself but if you know me at all, and I think you do, I am going to blend it with a few citruses and see what I can do with it.
Soap Reviews of fellow soapers' product will continue as soon as I receive more soap and body butters. I love doing them. I love the anticipation, reception and unwrapping. Some live up to they hype. Sadly, some don't. I still do it because I have an audience that they don't and it gives them some free advertising.
Until next time, my lovelies!!

Hello Stranger
Good Morning All!!
I have been in Arizona for the past few weeks. Even though I haven't posted much I have been watching the boards to see what is going on in the soaping community. I have noticed overlap in the names for Spring and Summer products. I was going to debut my Romance line using the names: Spring Fling, Summer Luvin', Fall for Me and Winter Romance but "Spring Fling" seems to most popular and therefore I am going to have to make some changes. I will announce what they will be once I am back home in my lab. I see young companies out there struggling to make ends meet and eventually closing up shop. You cannot expect to have any longevity if you are just rolling out the same products as everyone else. You must diversify.
Bath bombs are a wonderful product if created properly. Most people take showers rather than baths. Children and older adults are the main ones to sit in a bath. Market to children and those who sit in a bath; athletes, yoga enthusiasts, dancers or anyone that needs to soak their feet or lower extremities!!! Make your product for those who are most likely to purchase them, for crying out loud!! A 4 month old doesn't need Paris Hilton scented baths. Lavender, Chamomile, Patchouli (yes, Patch!!), Vanilla and Lemon could be wonderful for youngsters if you use them in the proper amounts. My dad absolutely loves any products that have Lemongrass (ew, phooey!!), Sweet Orange and Spearmint in them. He eats them up!!!
I noticed a dearth in masculine fragrances that didn't reek. I set out to create a line that is masculine, alluring and distinct. I have met with much success and plan on growing from that. You need to find out what is lacking in your area and pursue that. Pet shampoo not chic chic enough in your area? Well, create and market some. You can reap much reward from this kind of niche. You also need to put yourself out there in in terms of marketing that not everyone has done to deaths. Business cards? They get thrown away most of the time. Business magnets? Get used and noticed. Business pens? Will get stolen and used on a daily basis. You want your name and business on people's minds and in their faces constantly. Have a few t-shirts made with your company name and contact information. Wear them and get family and friends to wear them. Hand out samples, brochures and have a 30 second ad memorized but deliverable like you haven't rehearsed it a million times in the mirror.
Why am I passionate about this? Because I used to sell full-time everything like everyone else. When I moved from Maryland to South Carolina my business dried up like the Sahara in July. It took me many false starts and real stops to finally realize that while I lived in SC that I would never have the success like I did in Maryland because my customer base was vastly different. The same basic needs but with a different viewpoint on what was best for them. I then turned my attention to selling to established businesses and THAT turned my business around and I am now seeing the fruits of my labors. Don't like going to markets? Fine, have a friend or family member hostess a brochure party. Don't like having home parties? Fine, sell on-line. Want to market without spending too much money? Equally fine. If you make shower gels then use them at the gym or in a public restroom at the sink to market. Keep a bottle of your lotion on your desk and I promise people will use it and want more. I just did this while here in Arizona and now I have picked up two new customers.
No one will work your business like you should work your business, and if you do find someone who can do it better than you then hire that person ASAP!!!!! Okay, enough from me. I love you all very much and wish you all much success. Until next time.

Fragrance Oils Review
Blueberry Surprise (www.thechemistrystore.com)
I have to say that I love this one from The Chemistry Store. It does smell sweetly of blueberries but not in a saccharine cloying way. The oil is a slightly brownish color so it will discolor your soaps should you use it. Thankfully, it doesn't accelerate trace in your cold process soaps.
Arabian Spice (www.brambleberry.com)
This has a subtle clove and nutmeg scent. It is warm. I have used this with my sugar scrub soaps and it is divine!!! 1 tsp to a 30 ounce rebatch is strong.
Turkish Mocha (www.brambleberry.com)
I love this fragrance in my coffee soaps. It is warm and delicious without overpowering the coffee scent of the soap. It doesn't accelerate trace in soap, thankfully.

Fractured Faerie Tale: Briar Rose
Hello Rose Garden!! This month's mailing is for Briar Rose or Sleeping Beauty as most of you may know her. This month's soap is a beautiful yellow color, almost flaxen if you look at it in the correct light. I am taking the story from Italy by Giambattisa Basile's "Sun, Moon and Talia".
*** Mature Content Follows. If you are not at least 18 years of age please stop reading now!!!!!!***
Talia gets a piece of flax stuck under her fingernail and falls down dead. A king finds her, has sexual relations with her and abandons her. (Yeah, necrophilia in a tale?! is what I thought as well but it gets weirder). Nine months later her babies are born and one sucks the flax from underneath her nail and Talia awakens. She names her babies Sun and Moon. The queen finds out (how I have no clue) and cosigns Talia to death but instead the queen herself dies (again, the story doesn't say how) and the rest live happily ever after. Honestly, would you want to marry a sicko who knocks you up and leaves you because he thought you were a corpse?! Yeah, me neither. Anyway, the soap smells divinely of lilies, lavender and gardenia. I tried to sweeten the smell because the story stinks. ;) :)
Next month is the last, Cindered - Ella and I can promise no babies out of wedlock or any necrophilia.

SALE
Hi everyone!! I just wanted to tell you about the sale that I am having on www.thechandlersrose.weebly.com. You will receive 2 free bars of soap with every purchase. There is no minimum purchase amount. Just order through the website and receive the bars. I am unloading soaps to make way for more fragrance oils. I need the space. :) :)
On another note, I will continue with my soap reviews. Just a reminder, if I have a problem with a bar of soap I will not write a full review. So if you notice that some reviews are sparse it is because I found more issues and pluses. Don't forget to go to the website and purchase.

Soap Swap 2014 Part 1
Hello!! I have been gone for a while but I have had so much stuff going on! But all of that will be part of a different post. This is about the soap swap from the Swaptember page on FB.
This is the second one that I have tried. I love the colors. The scent reminds me of an Oriental bazaar. The spices in the air at the market, incense burning and some kind of wood stain.
This was the first that I used and it has a spicy woodsy smell to me. I cannot place it but I love it.
It lathers really well in lukewarm water. The scent lingers on the body as well. I love the packaging.
I don't have a tub so I have passed the blue flower bath bomb on to my dad to try out. Hopefully he will remember to tell me what he thinks of it, The Golden Jojoba lotion scented Honeybee is delicious. Too delicious. My daughter actually bit my arm the first day that I wore it!! Crazy child.
I will eventually try out the rest. When I do I will create a vlog and post on my YouTube channel. Stay tuned.

Soap Failures
Hello Everyone!! Normally I show you my soaping triumphs so today I wanted to show you when some things go not so good for me. I will try to let you know what is what.
This is my Basil, Mint, Rosemary and Sage. I have the white speckles. Don't know how they got there.
