New Soaps Created

Hello my lovely Rose Garden!!

I soaped two of my anti holiday line blends, DILF! and Mrs. Claus' Satin Drawers.

The Anti Holiday DILF! is a spicy warm masculine gourmand. I soaped at room temperature with 50% hard oils and butters. It moved fast on me and I wasn't expecting that. Smells terrific and other than some Acceleration there is no Discoloration, yet. I used Micas from Rustic Escentuals for the first time and I must say that I am pleased.

Anti Holiday: Mrs. Claus' Satin Drawers is a warm playful floral, vanilla and citrus blend. I soaped at room temperature with 50% hard oils and butters but this time I added the fragrance to each color right before the pour. And I added Coconut Milk which helped to keep the batter fluid long enough to pour and swirl a bit. I even had a chance to pipe soap (for the first time) on top of the loaf.

Fragrance Review:
The Chemistry Store Be Delicious - beautiful floral green apple fragrance that is a dupe of the DKNY perfume. It doesn't A or D. and I love how strong the scent is at 9 mL per 10 ounce of soap batter. It is a keeper.

First Post for the Year

Oh wow, I cannot believe that it has been almost a year since I have posted!! I am so sorry. I have only tested three batches of soap this calendar year and they didn't turn out all that well. Very quickly let me tell you what I have been up to this year.

First, I totally shut down the business a while back but the lovely state of SC didn't recognize it and I had to fight for about 6 months to prove that I haven't been in operation. That really soured me on even opening back up again. Ugh!!

Second, I have been teaching other businesses how to blend their oils like I do. That has been really fun. I understand that not everyone wants to have their noses stuck over dozens of bottles several times a day to pull fragrance notes in order to get a good fragrance. These women already know what to do they just needed a little tweaking.

Third, I have been looking to YouTube for inspiration and have decided that I am going to practice cup cake swirling. I am also going to attempt to make soap flowers and other embeds. Yellow Cottage Soapery and Red Apple Soaps have ensnared my imagination. I have been on a Wilton shopping spree today purchasing piping tips and embed molds. Yay, me!!

As of tonight I am going to attempt to make one new soap every week and I am going to blog my results with pictures. I am going to make sure that I post here, Instagram and The Chandler's Rose YouTube channel. Please leave me questions or concerns at any time. Have a great night.
