New Content Coming Soon

 Hello, Rose Garden!!

How have you been? I have been planning what will happen for 2023. I have decided to publish for purchase a few of my Collections of 'Blends Best With' lists. I have debated for a while if anyone would even care what I do and what my thoughts are on different blends. After speaking with a few movers and shakers in the bath and body industry I have decided to go ahead and start making my booklets and pamphlets available for purchase.

In December I will re-open The Fragrance Nook but this time the site will only have my courses, pamphlets, lists, and directories. The focus will be on education and creation. In January, The Chandler's Rose will re-open and will have product specific lines offered. Customers will be able to purchase Pirate's Cove - nautical and ozone, Dessert - gourmand and sweet citrus, Romance - heady, floral, and musky, Chivalry - sweet notes, leather, spice, and alcohol, Monster Mash - inspired by the black and white Universal monster movies. More to come about that.

I will also start offering single note soaps for customers to try out with their collection box orders. I want customers to see what we can offer and which new fragrance family notes you will like. Stay tuned.

New Soaps and Upcoming Workings

Hello, my lovely Rose Garden!! How are you doing? I have been coming up with new soaping ideas and blends. Right now, I am in an essential oil phase. Petitgrain and Pennyroyal have ensnared my imagination. Also, I have been working with Eucalyptus and Sea Salt and Ocean Mist.

Below are two essential oil soaps that will be sold exclusively at Belladonna's Gifts in West Columbia, SC. Both are essential oil only soaps made with sweet orange, lemongrass, and abre camino. If you know then you know.

There is so much that can be done with it. Later in the year I will tell you more about it.
Also, I have been working with Eucalyptus and Sea Salt and Ocean Mist.
Eucalyptus and Sea Salt smells like aloe and citrus. More aloe than citrus and not at all like Eucalyptus. I expected to there to be a slight pungent medicinal scent to it. The more I sniff it out of bottle the more it reminds me of a peppery pink grapefruit. This one should be a fun one to make a base batch and then see what I can blend it with to expand the fragrance.

Ocean Mist from The Chemistry Store smells like evening after being out at sea. There are green notes in here as well. For a little bit I contemplated just using this one as its own scent in my Pirate's Cove line but the more I sniff it the more I am undecided. I mean, it could be a really nice shower gel on its own. I haven't soaped it by itself yet. I should, though, in order to figure out what it will smell like in the end.

That is all I have for now. I posted on my Facebook that I will be archiving my group and leaving Facebook and Instagram. A lot of their recent choices have left me realizing that I don't want to participate with them.  You can always find me on Vero or YouTube. Take care, Rosebuds.

Wow!! I am really bad at this. LOL

 Hello, Rose Garden.

How have you all been? I am doing well. A lot has happened since April that has derailed ALL of my plans. But that is okay because I have learned to pivot and turn on a dime, so to speak. So, I have not soaped any of the soaps I had previously mentioned. I HAVE created a bunch of new fragrances and have put them in a local store. I HAVE inked a couple of new deals that will bring in more time for more fragrance testing.

I have also decided to archive my two groups on Facebook. That platform no longer serves me or my needs. You will be able to find me on Vero @thechandlersrose. Between Vero, YouTube, and here you should be able to find out all of the details of what is going on with The Chandler's Rose.  Going into the end of the year I will also be working on my Faire account for wholesale dry body oils. I received enough great feedback last year and earlier this year to feel confident that is where a lot of my energy will be going next year. In 2023 I will be traveling to companies who have contracted with me to make their signature fragrance oils, too. That will be such an adventure.

Who all participated in the Aztec $1 sale? I have some really exciting finds and am looking forward to bringing them to The Chandler's Rose line up. Tell me what you have purchased and your goals for them. Once I have more product made for the new release I will start posting pictures.

Be sure to leave a comment.

Wow! Where Has the Time Gone?

 Hello, Rose Garden!!

How are you? How have you been? I have been wrapping soaps and making updated YouTube videos of my older fragrance reviews. They didn't age well on YouTube with older video versions. So far I have updated my reviews on Aztec, Bramble Berry, Crafter's Choice, and Rustic Escentuals. Later on this month I will be adding updated reviews of The Chemistry Store, Nature's Garden, and Lone Star.

Fragrance Review

I will continue to add review videos for those who may not want to watch the older lower quality YouTube videos. After I am done with that series I will make videos on how to make simple choices when it comes to choosing scents from websites. I look forward to chatting with you all about them.
Be sure to stop by my YouTube channel, subscribe, leave a comment, and like. You can also try out my creations from www.thefragrancenook.com.

Upcoming Creations

 Hello, Rose Garden!

How are you? I have been working on creating new fragrances and trying out new base fragrance oils from The Chemistry Store. This month's oil is Autumn Harvest. It smells like generic cinnamon potpourri, but I am hoping to turn it into a versatile new oil. The thought for this one is a nice cinnamon tart or a gentle floral with a hint of warm cinnamon. There is no getting past the cinnamon so I might as well play to its strengths. So far, I have only come up with one winner, but I remain hopeful that I will come out of this test phase with at least another 6 or 7 blends.

I already told you all about the new fragrance for the Romance line, Kiss Me Not. This one, too, has a Cinnamon base note. OOB it smells divine. When first soaped I was a bit disappointed but now that it has cured for 7 weeks I have fallen back in love with the fragrance. Oh, my!! I will be adding to the website this week. Mrs. Claus's Arsenic and Apple Pie has me swooning. I keep forgetting how delightful that fragrance is to sniff. It keeps me happy.

Lastly, in the upcoming months I will soap my entire Coffee Shoppe line, seven scents, and finally soaping the Monster Mash line. I have wondered how I will design the soaps. Because they are monster themed, I suspect some customers will want the usual black, neon lime green, orange, and purple. These fragrances are based off of my interpretation of the old Universal monster movies so I think that I will stick with the old world look and design. So, black and white, shades of khaki, tan, and some rose and soft yellows. For the mummy inspired soap, maybe a white, off-white, and brown. We shall see.

Thank you for sticking with me this long. Be sure to leave a comment below.

Happy New Year, 2022

 Happy New Year, Rose Garden!!

How are you? Are you looking forward to a fresh start? I know I am. I want to show you some of my last creations for 2021. As I soap the extended fragrances of reach of my lines I will feature them here and then expand them out on my website, www.thefragrancenook.com. You can also check out the latest updates on Vero.

The soap on the left is Anti Holiday: Mrs. Claus's Arsenic and Apple Pie, another new fragrance that was originally created in 2016. I changed the color scheme from purple and green to red and green.

The one on the right is Journey: The Silk Road, another remake that I absolutely love. This one has Orange Blossom as the main fragrance. I missed it so much that I am bringing it back to line up.

The beauty on the right is Pirate's Cove: Rum Runner. Another remake. I kept the colors the same but I decided to change the design a bit. I am hesitant to take the plunge and made it a totally brown soap with a few accent swirls but we will see. The one right is Fractured Faerie Tales: Schneewittchen. This is my favorite out of all of the Fractured Faerie Tales scents.

Going into the new quarter I will be adding bath cookies of each of the new fragrances to the website as well. My care line has been updated as well. I hope you all will come to enjoy using them as much as I have enjoyed making them. Make sure to keep an eye on the website, www.thefragrancenook.com for more updates.
