More Pirate's Cove Soaps; Ready on 06/15

 Hello, Rose Garden.

How have you been? I am doing well. So, I made soap embeds for this month's soaping adventures and they did NOT come out well at all. So, I invested in MP base and remade most of them. So, below are my pictures of some of the embeds and the soap a few of them went into.

As you all may remember my Pirate's Cove line is inspired by Pirates Of the Caribbean. The soap below was originally named Barbosa's Apple but I didn't want to tangle with "The Ears" so I changed it to Spanish Apple.

I made apple scented jewels of different colors and apples as embeds and then dusted the top of the soap loaf with 24 karat gold mica since he was more interested in gold than actually being a pirate. Well, aren't most pirates concerned mainly with gold and treasure? Anyhoo, I thought it was a nice touch.

The soap itself smells fresh, airy, and has a tinge of tartness from the Granny Smith. I balanced all of this with the soft powdery floral notes of Spanish Rosemary essential oil. This one did fight me a bit. The red and green portions of the soap batter accelerated on me but the blue (read: ocean) portion was smooth sailing. Eh? Eh? *eye waggle* Get it? Heee!!! If you cannot tell, I am happy about bringing this one back after a long hiatus.

I also made another batch of High Seas. I only have one bar of this one left so I went ahead and popped this in the soapy cauldron. Always a pleasant blend to make into a soap. I really have to pat myself on the back for this one.

I don't make embeds for this one because I don't believe that it needs any. The same can be said for Caribbean Wedding, Mermaid's Tears, Parley, and Rum Runner. In the future if I can find some cute oak barrel molds, I may add them to the tops of the Rum Runner bars. That is all that I have for now. More soaps will be made this weekend so I will update later. As always leave a comment or question below.

May's "Summer Sippin'" Box is Here!!

 Good evening, Rose Garden.

How are you? I am so pleased to bring you our Summer Sippin' box which was released yesterday.  We have Spritzer: Strawberry Moscato which is available in dry body oil, bath salts and perfume. It smells like a sweet strawberry and chilled white wine.

Spritzer: Peach Bellini smells great as a perfume. A soft peach with notes of sugar and clean rose. This one will only be available in a perfume. If I made it into a bath salt y'all won't get out of the tub. LOL

Spritzer: Blueberry Chiller is a wonderful blend of sweet blueberries, citrus, and soft notes of mangosteen. This one will be available in fizzy bath salts and dry body oils.

Pirate's Cove: Rum Runner has been a part of my Pirate's Cove line up since its inception. I have added it to this month's box because I felt the Rum, Apple Cider, and aged oak barrel. This will be offered in a bath salt and in a dry body oil.

Be sure to not miss out on this month's box. The fragrances will not be repeated in future boxes. Get them while you can.

New Soap and Updated Products

Hello, Rose Garden.

So this is the last soap for this month. I made Spritzer: Blackberry and Pomegranate Ginger soap. It smells like a sweet and tangy fizzy soda mixed with a hint of champagne. I originally created this on Clubhouse last year and then I made a wholesale order for Kitchen Werkz. Since next month's theme is Summer Sippin' I decided to go ahead and make a batch of soap in case customers wanted a bar to go with their bath salts, perfume, and dry body oil.

The fragrance didn't accelerate or discolor. Two days after pour it wasn't as strong but as soon as it was unmolded the scent bounced back. I absolutely believe this will become a best seller as a perfume.

Today I was also practicing taking product shots for the website and IG. Shown below is the Lemongrass and Eucalyptus bath salts with dried lemon peels for extra exfoliation. I always include a seashell in the box so the customers can use that to scoop out their salts.

I also realized that I didn't have any product shot for this month's box. Like how silly is that??? No advertisement for something I am trying to sell? What??? So, here is what I did.

I am also trying to offload a few of my Pirate's Cove bars so I can have room to make more. Still all practice. I will get better.

Anyhoo, my next soaps that are up for creation are my Coffee Shoppe and the rest of the Pirate's Cove lines. After that I will work on my Monster Mash line. I already know that I will keep those in stock year 'round because I love all things spooky. I am so excited to unveil that line. Take care and make sure you go to my website to purchase some phenomenal products. www.payhip.com/TheFragranceNook

Just Some Soap Pictures

 Good Afternoon, Rose Garden!!

How are you? I am doing well. Adding some oldie but goodie soap offerings to the website, The Fragrance Nook LLC - Payhip. I am bringing back so the Soap of the Month boxes. You can purchase in 3, 6, and 12 month increments. The 12-month will be the only one that will be shipped in 2 different boxes in 6-month installments. Over the years I have found such lovely scents and have created some outstanding blends, if I do say so myself, and I want to be able to offer them to you. Some of these will be brought to the general catalogue if they become popular. No need in keeping something in stock if it is not going to sell well.

I will be adding a dry body oil selection to the website as well. The dry body oils will be a combination of single note fragrance oils from manufacturers as well as some of my own proprietary blends. Featured in the picture below are the oils from my Monster Mash line. I will add blends from my Romance, Travelers, Dessert, and Pirate's Cove lines in the coming months.

Be sure to visit our website. Take care and see you soon.

April Soap

 Hello, Rose Garden.

How are you doing? We had some wicked rain and winds roll through yesterday. So instead of creating yesterday I organized my oils and rearranged my creative space just a bit. Enough to be able to see what all I have. Today I made another Ultra soap. I pulled Baby Rose out of the archives. I haven't made this soap since 2013. I love the light floral and the powdery softness of Spanish Rosemary EO and the warmth of the Vanilla all blended together with the Lilac.

It had been so long since I made this one that I couldn't find the original colorant sheet for it.  No matter. I just gave it an updated look. I used Mad Mica's Flashdance and The Chemistry Store's Black Cherry gel lab color. I only scented the Flashdance portion of the soap. It smells perfect. Just like I remember. Over the next couple of months I will be pulling a few more scents from the vault and adding them to the line-up. I am so excited for this one, though.

An update about the website is that I will be adding a soap only feature as well. I know a lot of people love to have the paired items together so I will be offering a limited time only soap and dry body oil combination. This will only be while supplies last. There is so much that I want to offer but I don't want to overwhelm you all. I will keep you posted, though.

New Soaps and Stuff

Good Evening, Rose Garden!!

How are you? Wow, can you believe we are already in the 2nd Quarter of the year? This year is flying by. Well, we have busy on our end as well! Some new items. We have officially opened our sister company, The Fragrance Nook LLC, The Fragrance Nook LLC - Payhip and will be selling our products there. We now offer an "Anything BUT Soap" box for those who have enough soap in their lives and want to indulge in bath salts, fizzy and not, dry body oil, bath cookie crumbles, perfumes, and a small bath related gift. Also, we have been soaping, like, a lot.

So from left edge to the right edge: Pirate's Cove: Blushing Scarlett (pink and white), Ultra: Black Raspberry and Orange (black, white, and gold), Ultra: Cactus Flower and Lemongrass (green and orange), and Ultra: Sweet Pea and Fresh Ginger (purple, coral, and yellow). I am super pleased to announce that these soaps will be in our "Soap By the Pound" box. Customers will receive 1lb of soap in each box. Each box will contain a range of 3 - 5 bars depending on the weight of the bars after cure. Our full-sized bars weight at a minimum 5.5 ounces with some being 6.0 ounces. Our smaller bars are 3.3 ounces to 4.8 ounces.

The soaps below are Ultra: Strawberry Rose and Ultra: Sweet Pea and Pineapple Mango. They will also be included in the "Soap By the Pound" box.

In fragrance news, The Chemistry Store now offers English Tea Rose, Bubbly Rose and Fresh Rose FOs. They smell amazing and soap very well. I used two of them last month in soaps and they only had a little bit of ricing. I would definitely soap cool with a soap formulation of less than 40% hard oils and butters. The soap sticks in soap. I love it and I believe you will love it as well. I purchased Pear Fantasy back in February. I will give it a go 'round and then make something totally awesome and tantalizing for you. Stay tuned.

March Soap Challenge Pictures Are Here!!!

 Good Morning, Rose Garden!!

How have you been? This month has been filled with a lot of fun and exploration when it comes to fragrances. So, I decided to have a soap challenge. The rules were to create a soap inspired by coffee. We could not use any coffee, brewed or otherwise, no coffee FOs or essences, and no coffee embeds. I came up with a chocolate wine coffee soap. Most people have forgotten that a few couple of popular coffee chains sold wine and beer in the early 2000's. So here we go!!

I made this soap at night. I truly try not to soap late at night but I still seem to do so, even it if I start cooling my lye waters the night before. So I took these pictures in my kitchen where I would have the best light source. I used titanium dioxide and created my own chocolate color mixing 2 dioxides and a gel lab color.

I cut the loaf a week and a half later. There is some soda ash at the top but that can be washed off in another two weeks and the soap will still be dry and ready by April 15th. They smell so delicious.

I will offer a few bars in my launch of The Chandler's Rose sister company The Fragrance Nook, LLC. I will still ship The Chandler's Rose soaps under the sister company for a little while and then all of the offerings will be new fragrances created by me for The Fragrance Nook. Stay tuned for more!
